SCSI controller conversion

Here is a quick pick of the model number, according to LSI it was an oem controller made for dell. Officially it doesnt support the second U320 channel internally.

Here is a pic of the controller card after i finished modifying it, you can see the added connector on the left(lighter grey colour)

Pic of the back of the board. The connector which was added is on the right. This board originally comes with conformal coating on, it is a bitch to solder the connector on unless you remove it. The connector itself came from a doner scsi controller that i picked up locally cheap.

Another pic of the card, showing all the revision numbers as well i believe a couple of these numbers relate to dell.

Lost but not least, flash the controller to the newest firmware/bios from LSI. I used the MPT fusion bios 5.11.0.

The actually file names that you flash are    - is_1030.fw (firmware)
                                                                - mptpsis.rom (bios)

This pic is of the controller booting up, i have 4 atlas III 10k drives in a raid 0+1 array on this controller(integrated striping). They showup as the LSI logic array. The other drive is a 15K U160 IBM drive. The only real downside to this controller is that the RAID arrays are not spannable across both channels.
